Socks absorb oil quickly around machinery and equipment. Booms can be used on land and water to contain and absorb spills in waterways and harbours. Loose absorbent scattered on land or water absorbs oil instantaneously. It is naturally hydrophobic, allowing for easy hydrocarbon absorption.
